Job description
In your role as System Engineer (m/f/d), you will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of therapy functionalities with focus on the Extracorporeal Blood Module of future dialysis systems.
You will work at the interface of systems engineering, model-based development and product innovation, supporting the realization of therapy features from requirements and system architecture through implementation, integration and verification. Together with interdisciplinary teams, you will help shape patient- and user-centric solutions that contribute to safer and more effective dialysis therapies.
The position combines systems engineering, data analysis, technical development, modelling, testing within an international development environment.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and enhance therapy and diagnostic functionalities with focus on the extracorporeal blood circuit
- Support requirements engineering, system architecture and model-based development activities
- Analyze technical and treatment-related data to support product development and decision-making
- Support system integration, verification and testing activities across software, hardware and disposable components
- Plan and execute laboratory investigations, prototype evaluations and technical studies
- Support scientific publications, technical communications and engineering tool development
- Collaborate with international and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree or equivalent in Physics, Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a related scientific or engineering discipline
- Training or certification in Systems Engineering GfSE based qualification programs, SE-ZERT or equivalent
- First professional experience or relevant academic experience in systems engineering, product development, research or technology development
- Experience in modelling, simulation, data analysis or experimental investigations
- Good programming skills in Python and interest in engineering software tools. Experience in Matlab Simulink and Stateflow
- International experience. International academic, research or professional experience is highly desirable
- Fluent English and German skills
- Ability to understand complex technical relationships and work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
- Willingness to travel occasionally
