Job description

  • System requirements leadership - Review customer inputs and translate them into internal technical requirements covering functionality, safety, performance, verification, manufacturability, cost, and schedule.
  • Technical design and documentation - Deliver analyses, assessments, and all required evidence in alignment with the MMSI development framework.
  • Lifecycle process execution - Carry out all activities defined in the MMSI integrated process, including validation steps, configuration management, issue tracking, and formal checklists.
  • Integration and qualification support - Act as a technical authority during integration, verification, validation, and qualification phases.
  • Customer-facing technical support - Participate in technical discussions and contribute to project milestone reviews with the client.
  • Workload estimation - Define and estimate system-related tasks (BAC) and contribute to early project shaping activities such as RFIs and RFPs.
  • Cross-functional assistance - Provide support to other expert domains (verification, software development, embedded video) when needed.

Requirements

You hold a Master's degree in Electronics or Systems Engineering (or equivalent) and have at least 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering applied to the aerospace, defense, or space sector.

  • Systems engineering principles (requirements, architectures, traceability, and validation)
  • Aeronautical standards and frameworks (DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754 or equivalents) and certification processes
  • Safety and reliability analysis methods (FMEA, FTA, probabilistic analyses)
  • Modeling and requirements management tools (e.g., Capella, SysML, DOORS, Jira) and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, embedded models)
  • Integration & test practices (HIL/SIL, instrumented test benches, flight testing) and nonconformity management
  • Fluent in English & Spanish
