Job description
The aim of this role is to develop data visualization according to stakeholders need. A Data Visualization Engineer plays a crucial role in transforming complex data into visually appealing and easily understandable formats. This role involves a combination of skills in data analysis, graphic design, and programming., * Data Analysis: Collecting, processing, and analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Visualization Design: Creating visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards, that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Tool Development: Developing and maintaining data visualization tools and software, often using programming languages like Python, R, or through visualization platforms (e.g. Spotfire, power BI).
- Collaboration: Working closely with data scientists and other modellers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver customized visual solutions.
- User Experience (UX): Ensuring that visualizations are not only informative but also user-friendly and accessible.
- Contribute to write relevant documentation for development and for quality purposes
- Work with external partners, universities and consortia to implement state of the art models
- Communicate findings and insights to the R&D team through reports and presentations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in visualization techniques and pharmaceutical research.
- Help dissemination and updating of emerging technologies and new product/process design methods within R&D.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong skills in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), programming languages (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript), and data manipulation (e.g., SQL).
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Strong ability to understand the need and to translate it into theoretical equations and code
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work in cross-functional environments.
- Attention to detail and commitment to scientific rigor and reproducibility.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methods
We would prefer for you to have
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.
