Job description

We're looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our growing technology team in London. If you're passionate about designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performing network infrastructure, this is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-scale environments while developing your technical expertise.

You'll play a key role in ensuring reliable connectivity, optimising network performance, and supporting business-critical systems across a modern IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud-connected network environments.
  • Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Diagnose and resolve network faults, outages, and connectivity issues.
  • Implement network security best practices, access controls, and firewall policies.
  • Support network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and technical procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver reliable networking solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar infrastructure role.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, network monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
