Job description

You'll work closely with schools across the Cardiff area, providing both on-site and remote technical support to ensure that IT systems remain secure, reliable, and effective for staff and pupils alike., No two days are the same. You could be helping a teacher connect classroom technology in the morning, deploying new devices for a school in the afternoon, and assisting with Microsoft 365 issues before the end of the day., · Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.

· Provide professional and customer-focused IT support to school staff.

· Deliver support remotely and on-site across multiple school locations.

· Log, manage, and update support tickets using our Helpdesk and CRM systems.

· Ensure support requests are resolved within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

· Build, configure, deploy and maintain PCs, laptops, software and other end-user devices.

· Support Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS environments.

· Assist users with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace applications.

· Troubleshoot printers, scanners, photocopiers, and classroom audio-visual equipment.

· Assist with the deployment and management of mobile devices using MDM solutions.

· Support basic networking, wireless infrastructure, and IT security best practices.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues on larger projects and service improvements.

· Effectively prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy support environment.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in IT?, Do you have a GCSE?, We're looking for a proactive and enthusiastic School IT Technician to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and making a genuine impact within education through technology., · Good general education including English and Mathematics GCSE

· Demonstrable IT knowledge and troubleshooting ability

OR

A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales

Desirable Skills & Experience

The following skills and experience would be advantageous:

A-Level IT or equivalent qualification

Experience with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot

Experience using Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms

Basic networking and server support knowledge

Wi-Fi troubleshooting and support experience

Understanding of cyber security and IT security best practices

Previous experience supporting schools or educational environments
