Job description
This is a senior technical position combining project delivery with advanced support and consultancy. The role is ideally suited to an experienced MSP engineer looking to take ownership of projects, work directly with clients, and become a key technical resource within a highly skilled team.
The role is split approximately:
- 60% Project Delivery
- 40% 3rd Line Support & Technical Escalations
You will be responsible for delivering infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, and modern workplace projects from initial planning through to implementation and handover. Alongside project work, you will act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues and provide expert guidance to both clients and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery (60%)
You will take ownership of projects from initial scoping and design through to implementation and handover, including:
- Microsoft 365 migrations and tenant deployments
- Microsoft Intune deployments and device management projects
- Windows Server migrations and upgrades
- Active Directory and Entra ID projects
- Virtualisation deployments using VMware and Hyper-V
- Firewall replacements and network refresh projects
- Cybersecurity solution deployments
- Backup and disaster recovery implementations
- VoIP and Unified Communications deployments
- Technical documentation and project handovers
- Supporting the development of new services and technical standards
3rd Line Support & Escalations (40%)
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical incidents
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security platforms
- Support clients with in-house IT teams requiring specialist expertise
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent resolutions
- Review and maintain technical documentation
- Assist with mentoring and knowledge sharing across the service desk team
- Ensure excellent communication and customer service throughout the support lifecycle
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in VoIP?, * Minimum 5 years' experience within an MSP environment
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a 3rd Line Support, Infrastructure Engineering, or Technical Projects role
- Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure and cloud projects
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
