Job description
Retail Services and Systems, Inc. (dba Total Wine & More) is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to work at our Bethesda, MD HQ location.
You will
- Design CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps tools.
- Lead devops team of engineers and responsible for deployment pipelines code reviews, best practices, and framework maintenance.
- Writing builds for different apps (web/ APIs/ Database/ Windows) and building docker containers and deploy on AKS/GKE cluster using the YAML
scripts.
- Create deployments pipelines to deploy classical apps (Web app, Window services, SQL DB) and (Azure) Kubernetes services (Docker containers).
- Implement and improve zero-downtime deployments (blue-green, rolling, canary).
- Manage Infrastructure as Code and use configuration management tools in a cloud environment such as Azure.
- Work with and across multiple Agile teams to oversee development, testing, deployment, and support of technology solutions.
- Support and facilitate test automation practices to increase deployment frequency and improve confidence in delivered software.
- Develop documentation of CI/CD pipelines and communication to dev teams on pipelines changes.
- Little domestic travel to another Total Wine office for meetings/training may be involved not to exceed 60 days/yr and 5 days/trip.
- May undergo background checks incl drug screen.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Team leader (DevOps)?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or related field
- 7 years relevant DevOps engineering experience.
- Skills: (1 yr experience) in: leading DevOps engineers; .NET Core, SQL Server or Azure SQL/CosmosDB; design/architectural patterns (Dependency Injection, MVC)
