Job description
Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical assistance and training to system users. Answers user inquiries concerning systems operation; diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems; and recommends, performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation. Inspects personal computer equipment and reads order sheet listing user requirements to prepare computers for use. Installs or assists service personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards/mice, printers on user's premises, following design or installation specifications. Loads specified software packages, such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computers. Instructs users in use of equipment and software., * Manage support requests within corporate help desk ticketing system.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot electronic devices such as computer systems and related peripherals, mobile devices, and accessories.
- Maintain device records using corporate inventory management application.
- Perform first level network troubleshooting.
- Perform software troubleshooting for applications such as Microsoft operating systems and Office products, Adobe, &corporate ERP solution.
- Perform additions and changes within Avaya phone system.
- Work with vendors such as cabling companies, printer leasing companies, and similar service providers to report and manage technical issues.
- Support onsite and offsite users in all areas of technology including hardware, software, mobile phones, printers, copiers, remote access, Citrix, MFA authentication, and VPN access.
- Work with broader IT team to assist in security vulnerability remediation efforts on a quarterly basis.
- Assist IT team in patch management deployment and remediation of end user devices.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Productivity software?, Job Qualifications/Requirements: Must have excellent working knowledge of personal computers and peripherals, and general office productivity software
- Working knowledge of Active Directory to add, modify, and delete users and groups, and join computers to the domain.
- Good problem solving and critical thinking skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to occasionally work after hours and weekends when required.
- Basic knowledge of networking topology and protocols
