Job description
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Applications Specialist professional to provide advanced support, administration, and optimization of clinical applications across our organization. This role is a key technical and operational resource, supporting radiology systems such as PACS, RIS, and dictation platforms while driving workflow improvements and enhancing the end-user experience.
This is a hybrid position, requiring regular onsite presence in the Daytona Beach, FL area, along with remote work flexibility.
You will collaborate closely with IT teams, vendors, radiologists, and cross-functional departments to ensure system stability, efficient workflows, and seamless data transmission., Leadership & Operational Support
- Provide senior-level support for clinical applications, ensuring system performance and reliability
- Mentor and guide Clinical Applications Support team members (Level I-III)
- Oversee daily operations, including projects, upgrades, and implementations
- Support management with oversight of system performance and support activities
System Administration & Technical Expertise
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to clinical applications and integrations
- Implement, test, and validate system updates, patches, and enhancements
- Maintain expertise in radiology workflows and identify optimization opportunities
- Ensure accurate and timely DICOM and HL7 data transmissions
Workflow Optimization
- Partner with radiologists and clinical staff to improve workflows and system usability
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Enhance user experience with PACS, voice recognition, and imaging systems
Training & Collaboration
- Assist in developing and delivering training for staff and providers
- Collaborate with IT, Teleradiology Support, and other teams to ensure seamless operations
- Maintain detailed documentation of workflows, systems, and issue resolutions
Requirements
Do you have experience in Workflow management (operations management method)?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Technology, or related field preferred
- Relevant IT or clinical certifications are a plus
Experience
- 2-3+ years of experience supporting radiology systems (PACS, RIS, dictation, etc.)
- Experience in advanced or Level II support role preferred
- Experience with system implementations, upgrades, and downtime procedures, * Strong understanding of radiology workflows and imaging systems
- Knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards
- Familiarity with operating systems, networks, and system integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and task/project management tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and clinical teams
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and healthcare compliance standards, * Hybrid work environment (onsite and remote)
- Regular onsite presence required in the Daytona Beach, FL area
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs
