Job description

Our client, a prestigious investment firm, is seeking a System Administrator / IT Support Engineer to join their growing technology team. This is a highly visible, hands-on role supporting executives and employees in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical issues, thrives in a white-glove support setting, and is comfortable owning everything from end-user support to infrastructure and systems administration.

Core Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional onsite and remote technical support for executives and employees, resolving hardware, software, networking, and mobile device issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical problems while ensuring an outstanding end-user experience.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Mac workstations, laptops, mobile devices, conference room technology, printers, and peripherals.
  • Administer and support core Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange, file services, and related infrastructure.
  • Support remote access technologies, endpoint security solutions, and cloud-based business applications.
  • Lead desktop technology initiatives including hardware refreshes, operating system upgrades, software deployments, and patch management.
  • Partner with internal teams to support employee onboarding, offboarding, workstation deployments, and access management.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset inventory, and knowledge base articles.
  • Work closely with vendors and service providers to coordinate implementations, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve IT operations through automation, process enhancements, and technology improvements.
  • Assist with maintaining office technology infrastructure, networking equipment, and conference room systems while helping ensure a secure and reliable computing environment.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on IT support experience in a professional corporate environment.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows and Mac environments.
  • Hands on experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange, networking fundamentals, and endpoint management.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and hardware deployment.
  • Comfortable supporting executives and working in a high-touch, service-oriented environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Experience within financial services, investment management, family office, legal, or similarly high-security environments is highly preferred.
