Job description

The Control Center Manager is responsible for leading all Control Center operations within the Distribution Center, ensuring seamless communication between Warehouse Operations, Transportation, Inventory, Quality, and other support departments. This role provides strategic oversight of daily execution, labor planning, customer service, inventory flow, and transportation coordination to ensure on-time store deliveries, operational efficiency, and exceptional service levels. The Manager is responsible for developing leaders, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures., * Lead and manage all daily Control Center operations across assigned shifts.

  • Direct communication between Warehouse, Transportation, Inventory Control, Quality, and Operations to ensure efficient execution of daily activities.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound freight schedules to maximize service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all store deliveries depart on schedule, including frozen, cooler, dry, and alcohol shipments.
  • Monitor pending loads, urgent replenishments, and inventory shortages to minimize temporary out-of-stock (TOS) situations.
  • Oversee PO reconciliation, inventory discrepancies, and shipment exceptions while ensuring timely resolution.
  • Partner with Transportation to coordinate inbound backhauls and cross-dock operations.
  • Lead execution of holiday, promotional, and flyer programs to ensure product availability and accurate inventory.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory performance and collaborate with Operations and Inventory teams to reduce shortages and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze operational metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements to increase productivity and customer service.
  • Attend and lead daily operational meetings while communicating priorities across departments.
  • Develop staffing plans, labor allocation, and scheduling to support operational demands.
  • Hire, coach, develop, and evaluate supervisors and team members while promoting employee engagement and accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews, corrective actions, coaching sessions, and succession planning for departmental staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, food safety requirements, and sanitation standards.
  • Investigate operational issues, customer concerns, and service failures while implementing corrective actions.
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee relations, staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Drive a culture focused on safety, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Support Distribution Center leadership with special projects and other operational initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Warehouse management system?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation coordination, and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing KPIs and operational reporting.
  • High proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence operational improvements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
  • Experience within wholesale grocery, food distribution, retail distribution, or high-volume logistics operations preferred.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
