As a Senior Salesforce Developer Engineer (PF4), you will serve as a technical lead, driving the design, development, and implementation of complex Salesforce solutions that advance New York Life's strategic technology initiatives. You will collaborate closely with architects, business partners, and data teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing applications across a shared Salesforce platform supporting multiple lines of business. This role also involves integrating Salesforce with AWS services and other enterprise systems to enable data-driven decision-making and intelligent automation.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integration APIs.
- Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust, extensible technical designs.
- Implement Salesforce integrations with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and API Gateway, ensuring secure and performant data exchange.
- Collaborate with UX and front-end teams to deliver modern, responsive user experiences using React.js, TypeScript, and Figma.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and asynchronous Apex to support scalable, loosely coupled integrations.
- Oversee code reviews, enforce development standards, and drive continuous improvement through CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across environments, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and compliance with enterprise security standards.
- Evaluate and integrate npm packages and open-source libraries to enhance component functionality and maintain consistency across applications.
- Contribute to Salesforce platform modernization by leveraging AWS DevOps tools, automation frameworks, and reusable architecture components.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, including Salesforce AI (Einstein, GPT-based assistants) and MuleSoft, to evolve integration and automation capabilities.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Certified Salesforce Administrator certification?, Do you have experience in Stakeholder relationship building?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 8-10 years of proven expertise in leading new Salesforce implementations, guiding a team of developers through end-to-end solution design, development, and deployment.
- Proven expertise in Apex, LWC, and Flow Builder, blending custom development with Salesforce's out-of-the-box capabilities to create scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce event-driven architecture, including Platform Events, CDC, and pub/sub patterns for real-time, asynchronous communication.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data architecture, security model, and multi-org governance in a shared platform environment supporting multiple lines of business.
- Proven ability to design and implement secure integrations using Salesforce APIs, MuleSoft, and AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway).
- Strong background in JavaScript, React.js, and TypeScript, applying component-based principles and UI best practices across Salesforce and standalone apps.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with data teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex data quality and integration issues across systems.
- Experience translating Figma mockups into responsive, accessible, and reusable LWC and React components.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, and Jenkins, enabling automated deployments and version control.
- In-depth knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and Named Credentials.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration and technical excellence.

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
