Job description
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure. This position serves as the primary point of contact for employees experiencing hardware, software, network, and system-related issues while also supporting the implementation and maintenance of company technology solutions., * Provide day-to-day technical support for employees regarding hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, mobile device, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely issue resolution.
- Assist employees with password resets, account access, and software troubleshooting.
- Support remote employees and field personnel with technology needs.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within company systems.
- Maintain and administer Microsoft 365, email systems, and collaboration tools.
- Assist with system updates, software deployments, and patch management.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support data backup and recovery processes.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain company laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Track IT inventory and technology assets.
- Coordinate equipment purchases, repairs, and replacements.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding technology setup.
- Assist in maintaining network connectivity, Wi-Fi, and office infrastructure.
- Support printers, conference room technology, and communication systems.
- Work with third-party vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Help maintain cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Document IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and system configurations.
- Recommend technology improvements that increase efficiency and reliability.
- Assist with software implementations and technology projects.
- Provide basic employee training on systems and technology tools.
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT department experience?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate Level: 0-3 years of IT support, systems administration, or related experience.
- Mid-Level: 3-6 years of systems administration experience.
- Senior Level: 6+ years of experience managing enterprise infrastructure, networks, security, and strategic IT initiatives.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, and common business applications.
- Experience with Active Directory, Azure, or other identity management systems preferred.
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the goal of zero injuries.
- Experience supporting construction, industrial, or field-based organizations.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
