Job description

ARN TECH is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Network Support Specialist to support and maintain the network infrastructure that powers our software development, web development, cloud hosting, e-commerce, and digital technology services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, security, and performance while providing technical support to internal teams and clients., * Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-based network environments.

  • Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and network security appliances.
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity, DNS, DHCP, routing, and performance issues.
  • Support web hosting platforms, cloud infrastructure, and server connectivity.
  • Implement network security policies and assist with vulnerability management.
  • Monitor system logs and network performance to identify and prevent issues.
  • Assist with disaster recovery planning, backups, and business continuity procedures.
  • Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and project teams to support client solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to employees and customers.
  • Maintain network documentation, asset inventories, and support records.
  • Recommend infrastructure improvements to enhance reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in network administration, network support, or IT infrastructure support.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and switching.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, network monitoring tools, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications and web services.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and backup solutions.
  • Understanding of network security frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
