Job description
The Educator Certification Online System (ECOS) supports and facilitates the certification of Texas educators. This position will work with the ECOS development manager to provide the following Software Development Services: 1) Design complex modules for ECOS and its subsystems 2) Rewrite and migrate existing Classic ASP pages, business logic, and data interactions into .NET and .NET Core using current best practices. 3) Refactor and optimize code during the migration to improve maintainability and performance. 4) Create clear, comprehensive documentation for converted screens and changes made during the migration.
Requirements
10 Years of Microsoft .NET and .NET Core
10 Years of SQL Server (2017-2022)
8 Years of ASP.NET MVC
5 Years of Classic ASP (ASP 3.0)
5 Years of Years of Design and write code as required for selected customer systems
5 Years of Years of Analyze technical requirements and develop effective technical solutions
5 Years of Years of jQuery
3 Years of Bitbucket
2 Years of Accountability Application
2 Years of Licensing Application
Preferred Skills:
3 Years of Documented work experience with the issue tracking software Atlassian Jira
2 Year of Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
1 Year of Previous experience with Employment Eligibility Registries
1 Year of Previous experience with Document Reporting Portals
1 Year of Previous experience with integrating systems with the Texas.gov fee payment portal
