Senior Network Infrastructure Consultant

For one of our European Institution in Brussels, we are looking for a Senior Network Infrastructure Consultant to strengthen the Corporate Networks team.

You will contribute to the design, evolution and optimisation of enterprise network, datacentre and security infrastructures. Working in a complex and international environment, you will support strategic initiatives, infrastructure modernisation, network automation and large-scale connectivity services.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Telecom & Data Centre Consultant, you will:

Strategic & Architecture Activities

• Conduct architecture and technology studies for network and datacenter solutions

• Evaluate emerging technologies, standards and industry best practices

• Define and execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and technical evaluations

• Provide recommendations regarding scalability, availability, maintainability, security and operational efficiency

Engineering & Delivery

• Perform capacity planning and infrastructure forecasting

• Produce technical specifications and architecture documentation

• Support procurement activities and technical evaluation of vendor proposals

• Plan and supervise infrastructure migrations

• Ensure quality assurance during deployment activities

• Assess solution performance and recommend improvements

Automation & Infrastructure Modernisation

• Design and implement network automation solutions

• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approaches for network operations

• Deploy automated provisioning solutions using Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and PXE

• Implement CI/CD practices for network infrastructure

• Support containerised automation platforms and hybrid cloud integrations

Required skills and experience:

Network Automation & DevOps

• Network automation and Infrastructure as-Code (IaC)

• Ansible, Python and Git-based workflows

• NetBox and CI/CD pipelines

• Automated provisioning, testing and configuration management

• Containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

Enterprise Networking & Datacentre

• Datacentre networking, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network virtualisation

• Campus and wireless networking solutions

• Routing and switching technologies (BGP, OSPF, VPN, SD-WAN)

• DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management and network services

• Network management, monitoring and performance analytics

Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

• Cloud networking concepts and hybrid connectivity

• AWS and Microsoft Azure environments

• Load balancing, access control and cloud security integration

Network Security

• Enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS and network segmentation

• Secure web gateways, SSL inspection and content filtering

• Web Application Firewalls (WAF), DDoS protection and API security

• Security orchestration, compliance and operational security best practices

Education

• Master degree and 8 years of experience minimum or Bachelor degree with 12 years of experience

Your profile

• Proven experience in enterprise networking, datacentre infrastructure and network security

• Strong understanding of modern network architectures and automation practices

• Experience delivering infrastructure projects in large and complex environments

• Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable solutions

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Relevant industry certifications are considered a strong asset
