Job description

  • Further develop the load management tool and optimise the prediction and control of hot water demand in Basel.
  • Develop data-driven models and, if necessary, use machine learning methods to optimise and forecast energy systems.
  • Build interfaces to internal and external data sources and ensure the reliable provision of energy industry data.
  • Ensure high data quality and minimise security risks when handling data. This is how you make us even better

Requirements

  • Completed studies (FH, university or ETH) in computer science, data science, physics, energy engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
  • Good Python skills and experience in developing, maintaining and further developing data or forecasting applications.
  • Confident handling of SQL databases and Git.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. scikit-learn, PyTorch) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, energy engineering or related fields will make it easier for you to get started.
