Define and evolve the end-to-end architecture of the Data Foundation Layer, establishing a scalable, real-time, and enterprise-wide data platform as the single authoritative source of truth with involvement of business. You will do so according to standards and patterns, controls enforced at Munich Re \n

Drive Data as a Product & Enterprise Data Modeling Establish reusable, high-quality data products with clear ownership, standardized data models, and full historical context (SCD2), enabling analytics, AI, and regulatory use cases \n

Enable Data Governance, Contracts & Compliance Design and enforce data contracts, access control, and federated governance frameworks to ensure trust, regulatory compliance, and controlled data sharing across domains \n

Ensure Data Quality, Reliability & Observability Define and implement end-to-end data quality frameworks, including validation, monitoring, lineage, and auditability, guaranteeing trusted and production-grade data assets [ \n

Enable Transformation & Analytics/AI-Ready Data Ecosystem Lead the transition from siloed pipelines to a unified platform, enabling self-service data access and delivering high-quality, model-ready data to power advanced analytics and AI/GenAI use cases \n
Requirements
You are a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise and a proven ability for building modern data platforms at scale. You combine architectural vision with hands-on understanding, and you thrive in environments with high exposure to business stakeholders and technical leaders where you can deliver lasting impact, * Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) \n
- Proven track record (6+ years) designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics/AI solutions \n
- Deep expertise in modern cloud data architectures (e.g. Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure, streaming, IaC, CI/CD, Informatica IDCM, Kubernetes, Oracle, SQL, Mongo, etc.) \n
- Strong architectural mindset with experience applying frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) and Munich Re architecture patterns in complex environments \n
- Solid understanding of AI/ML and MLOps, with the ability to enable data for advanced analytics and GenAI use cases \n
- Business-oriented thinker with exposure to Asset Management (or similar domains) and strong stakeholder communication skills \n
- Collaborative enabler who drives standards, quality, and alignment across engineering and analytics teams \n
- Fluent in English; German is a plus \n
