Job description

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Data Engineer to join the Data & AI tribe. The role involves maintaining and evolving our informational platforms for data management and regulatory & analytical reporting using Azure, Agile, and DevOps practices., * Ensure best practices in technical design, development of ETL processes, and modeling of informational solutions.

  • Monitor end-to-end processes, detect technical issues, and propose data-driven solutions.
  • Maintain platform sustainability within IT and risk minimum standards.
  • Guarantee that ETL pipelines and modeling solutions align with best practices and are promoted through Azure pipelines.
  • Analyze business needs and propose appropriate IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with different areas contributing to the Spanish ING Data Strategy.

Requirements

  • Technical knowledge in SQL and NoSQL databases, ETL processes, and BI reporting.
  • Expertise in data modeling and data architecture for informational platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience in data warehousing, data lakes, and data virtualization in the banking and finance industry.
  • Experience in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in English (written and oral).
  • Self-directed, initiative-driven, and able to work without explicit instructions.
  • Problem-solving mindset, team player, and ability to work at an international level.
  • Positive attitude, commitment to goals, and willingness to embrace change.
  • Desirable technical background: Data Lake and Big Data environments, BigQuery, Oracle 19c, data virtualization or Denodo, IBM DataStage & IGC, BI tools such as Cognos, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Azure DevOps, cloud knowledge, security monitoring (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana), automation tools (Python/Go, DBT), Elastic Cloud Storage.
