Job description
Hexwired has partnered with a company who are a specialised wireless communications firm. They are looking for a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer in Earley who will develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code supporting the company applications and services for secure communication.
You will be working closely with both the operations and development teams. The main responsibilities for the DevOps Engineer are to develop Infrastructure as Code to create infrastructure and communication in public cloud.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including Kubernetes cluster services, container orchestration, and cloud governance (AWS Control Tower, Landing Zones, and IAM Identity Center).
- Advanced expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, with experience in AWS CloudFormation, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and a solid understanding of IaC design principles and development lifecycles.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes tooling, including Helm, Kustomize, Kubernetes Operators, and GitOps solutions such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Proficient in Linux and Windows administration, with scripting skills in Bash and PowerShell to automate infrastructure and operational tasks.
- Experienced in producing clear infrastructure design and technical documentation, mentoring team members, and promoting knowledge sharing through training and day-to-day collaboration.
- Familiar with application operations, monitoring, and observability practices to support reliable and scalable cloud environments.
- The salary for this DevOps Engineer role will be up to £80,000 per annum. The company are rapidly expanding and are at the forefront of their industry.
