Requirements
We are looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers who live and breathe mobile technology with expert knowledge of Android development to join us working with our media client. You will have the opportunity to build the next generation of their children's educational mobile/tablet application whilst working in close collaboration with other disciplines in a highly cross functional and autonomous environment.
The successful applicant will have expert Kotlin and Android SDK knowledge, be comfortable Jetpack Compose functional programming using MVVM architecture, have experience of at least one testing framework and enjoy working following the Agile Scrum methodology.
You will make a key contribution to the entire development lifecycle including new writing features, fixing bugs and performing code reviews. Additionally, you will be coaching existing Swift/iOS team members by upskilling them on Android development to enable them to work across both platforms.
Essential Key Skills and Responsibilities
You will:

have extensive experience writing Android applications using Kotlin

have strong experience with JetPack Compose functional programming

have a strong understanding of modern Android architecture patterns and state management approaches

have professional experience building and maintaining large-scale mobile applications

have strong testing mindset including unit testing, UI testing and automated quality practices

have strong collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional product teams

be comfortable contributing to technical design, estimation and delivery planning

have experience using GitHub and GitHub Actions (desired)

have experience with App Store Connect (desired)

have experience debugging with Charles Proxy (desired)

- Charles Proxy, * A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
- Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques and methodologies.
- Experience with providing coaching and mentoring
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
- Knowledge of software development tools and technologies.
- You are flexible and curious in your approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
