Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered System & Software, driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets - Light vehicle & commercial truck equipment - Dana provides the world's original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities., * Oversees direct report functions such as interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, evaluating performance, and/or developing staff, work schedules/vacations, and assignments; organizes staff meetings; coordinates continuing education training and in-services for staff.
- Lead and responsible for the overall System V&V Functional engineering team within the Global Software Organization to ensure quality work products are produced and provide evidence that align with ASPICE, ISO 26262, IATF-16949, and ISO-SAE-21434 compliance.
- Working with SW V & V team, Process, engineering program/project managers, SW stakeholders on a day-to-day basis in aligning with all functional Sys/SW features as part of the overall timing plan.
- Lead the overall V &V functional engineering team to ensure all validation deliverables meet the expected program timing plans, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Develop System V & V functional validation plan as part of capacity planning, decompose to sprint planning, development and properly execute all plans coverage features pertaining to the customer program milestones.
- Collaborate with engineering programs team and participate in internally/externally customers technical discussion (Validation results, summary, final DVP & R, Design Changes Request alignment internally/externally.
- Collaborate with Process/Automation and HIL Commission teams to align timing and bench needed as required to perform V & V functional Validation pertaining to the program milestones.
- Lead overall System V&V functional team to meet technical, quality and program budget targets and support both external and internal audits as needed.
- Ensure bidirectional traceability from test case to Sys/SW requirements.
- Take part in various development and formal testing phases in the Sys/SW development life cycle.
- Execute all Sys qualification, Sys Interface, regression testing, & bug fixes validation.
- Support development and improvement of Sys/SW V&V methodologies and tools based on industry best practices.
- Ensure test cases are created/revised for the V&V requirements called out in the Sys/SW release plans.
- Support and align cross-functional teams in development, root cause analysis.
- Review/Record any test environment configuration changes.
- Coordinate/notify all test schedule changes with all impacted parties.
- Enter all noteworthy information into program test log. (i.e. bench problems, hardware).
- Support/Participate continual improvement with other V & V program leads, raising the effectiveness and efficiency of the team through the introduction of SW automation tools, methods and process improvements and coordinating with the Continuous Improvement product owners.
- Support a standard product methodology mindset, seek opportunities to re-use solutions, improve quality and reliability whilst reducing the delivery timeline and associated costs.
- Understand the key milestones in the programs plan, ensure that the plan correctly provisions for the required strategy/process/automation activities.
- Performs various technical duties in support of research activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Software), Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Essential: Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with embedded SW Validation.
- Essential: Working Experience in Automotive Tools (VectorCast, Vector Canape, CANalyzer/CANoe, CANdella Studio, Typhoon, dSPACE, Automation Desk, Synect, Polarion, Jira, Azure Git).
- Essential: Knowledge of embedded C/C++ software and Model Based Embedded Software Design.
- Knowledge of SW testing methodologies (black box, grey box, interface testing, validation life cycle).
- Knowledge of ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, Cyber Security Testing Methods.
- Good analytical skills, curious, and autonomous and ability to work with multidisciplinary and global team.
