Job description
The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of data-driven strategies that support business decision-making. This role oversees the design, development, and maintenance of reporting systems and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and relevance across departments. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), streamline reporting processes, and drive insights that improve operational efficiency and strategic planning., * Lead the BI team in delivering high-quality data analytics and reporting solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data insights.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all reporting platforms.
- Develop and maintain data models and queries to support reporting requirements.
- Work closely with EDW to ensure data processes support reporting needed.
- Monitor and optimize performance of BI tools and reporting systems.
- Provide training and support to business users on BI tools and data interpretation.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and analytics.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and data governance
- Additional duties as assigned., Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within general scope of established operational goals and plans. Day-to-day work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting.
- Proven experience managing BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Strong SQL, DAX & Python skills and experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
- Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Understanding of machine learning and predictive analytics.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus., * Regularly sits and works on a computer.
- Occasionally stands and walks.
- Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
