Job description
Insight Global is looking for a versatile Senior Developer to join BIM / FTSE Russell, with the specific delivery team confirmed at onboarding based on candidate strengths - either Equity Product Development (index methodologies and calculations, Scrum) or PRIME Integration (reusable services, APIs and data-feed onboarding, Kanban). The role is built on a shared core stack of SQL Server, C#.NET and Python, flexing toward Angular-leaning product work or Terraform-leaning integration work as required.
Requirements
- 8+ years of commercial software development, adaptable across delivery teams (upper end of MSA Level 3)
- Strong SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- Solid C#.NET development, including RESTful APIs
- Python for automated/component testing
- Proven ability to translate complex business/index rules into testable software
- Strong data modelling and automated testing discipline
- Comfortable in a monolithic, database-heavy system with complex interdependencies
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Terraform / infrastructure-as-code
- Angular UI development
- AWS native services - EC2, EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Glue, DMS
- Familiarity with Sybase and/or PostgreSQL
- Financial Markets (Equities and/or Fixed Income) / Index Services domain knowledge
- Agentic AI tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot)
- Legacy Java/Sybase exposure
