Job description

Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer responsible for the rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits used in cyber incident response and threat hunting operations., * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated cloud deployments

  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources
  • Manage source control repositories and version control processes
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities
  • Support troubleshooting and performance optimization of cloud environments
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to improve deployment processes
  • Support security hardening and compliance automation initiatives

Requirements

This role focuses on automating, optimizing, and enhancing cloud infrastructure deployments through CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and cloud automation. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting AWS environments, implementing DevOps best practices, and building scalable, repeatable deployment solutions., * U.S. Citizenship

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or software engineering roles
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar IaC tools
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
  • Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience with Git and version control best practices
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services and APIs
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Kubernetes, ECS, or other container orchestration platforms
  • Knowledge of security automation and compliance-as-code practices
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or operational environments
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Background in software development or systems engineering
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR

  • High School Diploma and 7+ years of directly relevant experience

Desired Certifications

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification
