Job description
Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a U.S. Government customer responsible for the rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits used in cyber incident response and threat hunting operations., * Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated cloud deployments
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of cloud resources
- Manage source control repositories and version control processes
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities
- Support troubleshooting and performance optimization of cloud environments
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to improve deployment processes
- Support security hardening and compliance automation initiatives
Requirements
This role focuses on automating, optimizing, and enhancing cloud infrastructure deployments through CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and cloud automation. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting AWS environments, implementing DevOps best practices, and building scalable, repeatable deployment solutions., * U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation, or software engineering roles
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar IaC tools
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with Git and version control best practices
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services and APIs
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes, ECS, or other container orchestration platforms
- Knowledge of security automation and compliance-as-code practices
- Experience supporting mission-critical or operational environments
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Background in software development or systems engineering
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR

High School Diploma and 7+ years of directly relevant experience
