Job description

Lead the architecture and delivery of a greenfield SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) solution as part of an ECC-to-S/4HANA Private Cloud (RISE with SAP) transition. Serve as the bridge between accounting/business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex revenue recognition requirements into a cohesive S/4HANA architecture that complies with IFRS 15 / ASC 606 and integrates cleanly with OTC and downstream finance., * Own end-to-end RAR solution architecture: run Fit-to-Standard / explore-phase workshops, drive Key Design Decisions, and produce solution and RICEFW documentation aligned to SAP Activate methodology.

  • Configure RAR on S/4HANA revenue accounting contracts, performance obligations (POBs), BRFplus decision tables, account determination, and posting logic for point-in-time and over-time recognition.
  • Architect the Adapter Reuse Layer (ARL) and integrate OTC/SD sender components (orders, deliveries, billing), plus FI-CA/BRIM or third-party order systems, via Revenue Accounting Items (RAIs).
  • Design the inflight-contract transition and initial-load strategy; define the migration approach for revenue data moving off ECC.
  • Lead fit-gap analysis on complex revenue scenarios bundled software/hardware/service deals, kitting and price re-determination, returns/credit-debit memo handling, and resource-related/project-based (WBS) billing.
  • Ensure RAR sub-ledger reconciliation with FI-GL and COPA; validate G/L postings with accounting teams and support disclosure/reporting needs.
  • Direct integration, regression, and UAT testing; lead cutover, go-live, and hypercare, including high-volume order conversion validation.
  • Mentor functional/configuration teams and support pre-sales activities (RFP responses, solution demos, orals) as needed.

Requirements

  • SAP RAR and/or SAP SD/FI certification, with hands-on RAR configuration across multiple full-lifecycle implementations and conversions.
  • Deep IFRS 15 / ASC 606 revenue recognition expertise, including transition and initial-load strategies.
  • Strong command of BRFplus, ARL, and RAI-based integration with OTC/SD and finance modules.
  • Proven OTC/QTC solution architecture experience (pricing, account determination, Advanced ATP, Fiori) feeding revenue recognition.
  • Familiarity with S/4HANA Private Cloud (RISE) deployment and SAP Activate; FI-GL and COPA integration knowledge.
  • Industry exposure across high-tech, life sciences, aerospace & defense, chemicals, consumer products, or digital/entertainment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder leadership bridging technical and accounting/business audiences.
