- Troubleshoot software problems, including applications within the Microsoft Office suite, operating systems such as Windows and macOS, and enterprise tools like ServiceNow and Jira.
- Manage computer hardware setups, upgrades, repairs, and inventory control to optimize device performance.
- Support computer networking tasks including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewall configurations, and network security measures such as Meraki devices.
- Assist with Active Directory management, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Windows Server environments, Linux systems, and BMC Remedy for ticketing and incident tracking.
- Maintain IT infrastructure by monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and supporting network administration activities.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze issues using analysis skills and escalate complex problems using tools like ServiceNow or Jira for efficient resolution.
- Support the deployment of security measures including firewall rules, TCP configurations, and VPN access to safeguard organizational data.
- Document solutions clearly in help desk systems while communicating effectively with users to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience in providing technical support for computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and desktop support functions.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (especially Microsoft Windows Server), macOS, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls (including Meraki), and network security best practices.
- Experience managing computer management tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and BMC Remedy ticketing system.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Active Directory accounts, GPOs (Group Policy Objects), DNS settings, and network infrastructure components.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach to assist users effectively in person or remotely.
- Analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly while maintaining attention to detail during problem resolution processes.
- Knowledge of mobile device support along with familiarity with ServiceNow or Jira for incident tracking is a plus.
