Job description
Our client, a large government systems integrator located in Hampton, VA, is looking to hire an onsite Secret cleared Network Support Engineer for a 12-month contract. The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting secure enterprise network infrastructure supporting coalition information sharing and mission-critical operations. The consultant's responsibilities include network engineering, routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, multicast, data center networking, and supporting Cisco, Juniper, F5, and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- An active Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred),
- CCNA certification
- Knowledge and experience supporting COMSEC accounts
- Knowledge and experience with current Juniper JUNOS software and hardware
- Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS, IOS-XE and NXOS software and hardware
- Knowledge and experience with Firepower Managemet Center and Firepower Threat Defense
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot DMVPN and GRE tunnels
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience in fast-paced DoD environments.
- Occasional short-term travel within the AFRICOM AOR may be required.
