Job description
Insight Global is seeking a Staff Engineer - Acquisition & Public Web for a leading financial services client. This individual will serve as a technical leader driving the modernization of customer-facing web platforms, including loan acquisition workflows and marketing applications. The role combines high-level architecture responsibilities with hands-on development, guiding teams through the transition from monolithic systems to scalable, cloud-based microservices. The ideal candidate will bring deep full-stack expertise, a strong focus on frontend excellence, and experience building high-traffic applications in the cloud, while influencing best practices and mentoring teams to deliver innovative, customer-first solutions.
- Set technical direction for application development teams supporting marketing and loan acquisition platforms
- Partner with product and enterprise architecture to align on software design and execution
- Create roadmaps to migrate legacy/monolithic systems to microservices and distributed architectures
- Define engineering standards, architecture patterns, and best practices
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to improve efficiency and time-to-market
- Participate in POCs, mentorship, and engineering communities of practice
- Contribute hands-on to development efforts as needed Support scalability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications
Requirements
7+ years of full-stack web development experience, with strong frontend/presentation layer expertise
- Strong cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
- Programming experience with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript
- Architectural experience, defining roadmaps, target states, and being able to lead others in technical discussions and code sessions
- Experience integrating frontend with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and databases (SQL/NoSQL)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- AWS Certification
- Ruby on Rails development experience
- AI, ML or LLM experience
