Job description

  • Champion the evolution, design, and execution of sophisticated software platforms engineered for mission-critical defense and simulation architectures.
  • Cultivate the professional growth of team members by delivering technical direction, constructive code critiques, and ongoing mentorship throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Revitalize legacy software systems, ensuring heightened performance, seamless compatibility, and long-term architectural stability.
  • Engineer clean, high-performance source code across a variety of programming environments to meet strict operational demands.
  • Synthesize engineering efforts across hardware, systems, and project management units to achieve seamless integration and flawless program execution.
  • Drive collaborative technical planning sessions, architectural deep-dives, and comprehensive design assessments.
  • Investigate and mitigate intricate software anomalies occurring within high-stakes, real-time operating environments.
  • Validate software integrity by overseeing rigorous system integration, verification testing, and final product deployment.
  • Maximize software development processes by pioneering continuous improvement strategies focused on sustainable code quality and optimal system performance., * Active U.S. Citizenship (mandated by government contract constraints), with the capacity to secure and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance and clear subsequent Special Access Authorizations.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical field of study.
  • Professional Experience: 8 to 20 years of verifiable software engineering experience, highlighting a minimum of three years dedicated to Technical Leadership, Mentoring, or guiding software teams.
  • Core Methodologies & Environments: Advanced experience navigating Agile Frameworks, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid lifecycle models.
  • Technical Domains: Demonstrated success delivering robust solutions within Real-Time Applications, Embedded Systems, Multi-Threaded Applications, Simulation Modeling, System Integration Testing, Linux Application Development, and Aerospace / Defense environments.
  • Programming Languages: Comprehensive mastery of one or more core languages, including C++, C#, Python, or C.

  • Annual Base Salary: $153,000 - $170,000 (Full-Time / Direct Hire)
