without breaking production. 5+ years building and shipping Ruby on Rails in production. ~ Strong PostgreSQL (or comparable RDBMS): schema design, query performance, safe migrations against live data. ~ Solid grasp of background job processing (Sidekiq/Redis) and API design for external consumers. ~ A track record of building and scaling systems where performance, uptime, and data correctness matter, not just shipping features. ~ Comfort operating with real autonomy : you can take an ambiguous problem, make a sound call, and own the outcome without heavy supervision. ~ Strong product instincts, you think about how your code affects the publisher, advertiser, and end-user experience, not just whether it passes. ~ Familiarity with AWS, Docker, CI/CD, and observability tooling . Ad servers, attribution systems, or bidding. Exposure to real-time data flows / streaming (Redis Streams, Kafka, or similar). Interest in applied AI/ML for optimization, we're building a conversion-and-eCPM optimization layer and value engineers who want to work near it.
