Job description
Bitácora selects one Database Administrator for a leading multinational company in the financial sector, located in Madrid and currently in the midst of expansion. The selected individuals will join the company's IT team, where they will ensure the stability, security, and performance of the organization's databases, facilitating efficient information management to support the business's strategic and operational objectives., * Monitoring database performance to identify and resolve issues that may compromise system stability and availability.
- Ensuring database security by implementing access controls, continuous monitoring, and protection against external or internal threats.
- Ensuring that databases are regularly backed up and that effective disaster recovery plans are in place to minimize operational risks.
- Supervising compliance with internal standards and regulations, keeping technical documentation updated and accessible to all relevant teams.
Requirements
- Mastery of principles for designing, implementing, and optimizing relational and non-relational databases.
- Business knowledge and understanding of IT commercial requirements, aligned with efficient data management.
- Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS), such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and data manipulation languages (SQL, T-SQL).
- Knowledge of computer security standards and best practices in data backup and recovery.
- Valued certifications in database administration (MCDBA, Oracle DBA, MCSD for.NET, or equivalents).
- Constant updates on trends and developments in database management, including cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (valued).
- English proficiency B2.
- Minimum 3years of experience as Database Administrator.
- Analytical skills, problem-solving, attention to detail, adaptability, teamwork, communication, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.

- Permanent contract.
- 60% remote working; during summer, Christmas, and Easter it increases to 100%.
- Flexible schedules: starting between 08:00 and 10:00 and finishing between 17:00 and 19:00. Every Friday is a half-day work schedule.
