Data Scientist

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Bystronic Software team, working closely with product, engineering and business teams to build data-driven solutions that transform the sheet metal processing industry., * Analyze large volumes of data to identify patterns, trends and opportunities.

• Design, develop and maintain predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
• Clean, transform and validate data from multiple sources.
• Create dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define metrics and KPIs.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Automate analytical processes and data pipelines.
• Explore new techniques and tools related to AI and data science.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or a related field.
• Four or more years of experience in Data Science, advanced analytics or a similar role.
• Experience applying statistical modelling, machine learning and data visualization in business contexts.
• Strong command of Python or R, including libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Solid SQL knowledge and experience working with databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, Looker or similar.
• Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud environments.
• Analytical thinking, business orientation and strong data storytelling skills.
• Proactive mindset and ability to solve complex problems collaboratively.

Desired Experience

• Experience with MLOps.
• Knowledge of NLP or Computer Vision.
• Experience working with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop or Databricks.
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
