As a Software Engineer, you'll contribute to the continued development of our engineering software. Your work includes:

• Developing new functionality.
• Improving and maintaining existing software.
• Solving challenging technical problems.
• Designing and implementing algorithms and numerical methods.
• Building interfaces with other software systems.
• Testing, validating and documenting new features.
• Working closely with naval architects to translate engineering challenges into practical software solutions. Occasionally, you'll also help with technical aspects of our internal IT environment. This is a small part of the role. Our technology Our software is primarily developed in D , with parts written in C++ . Experience with D is not required. If you're comfortable with C++, Rust, C#, or another modern programming language, we'll help you get up to speed.

You don't need a background in the maritime industry. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, is curious by nature and likes building software that engineers rely on. You have:

• A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture or another technical discipline.
• Experience with software development (junior, medior or senior).
• An interest in technical or scientific software.
• Good communication skills in English.

You won't be building another business application or web platform. Instead, you'll develop specialised engineering software that is used around the world to solve real-world maritime challenges. You'll work directly with experienced naval architects, giving you immediate access to domain knowledge and the opportunity to see how your software is applied in practice.
