That's where this role comes in. As our IT Infrastructure & Security Manager, you'll help shape, manage and strengthen our IT infrastructure and cyber security capability as we continue this exciting journey.
What your role will look like?
The IT Infrastructure & Security Manager is responsible for the IT Infrastructure and Security functions, overseeing delivery of high-quality, stable, infrastructure with a secure-first approach.
The role will lead an internal team of engineers, providing both BAU support and project activities, and own key and business critical service providers.
Responsibilities for an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager:
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of IT Infrastructure engineers.
- Ensure all infrastructure projects are delivered to agreed timescales.
- Develop, deliver and support best-of-class IT infrastructure and security technologies across the business.
- Act a senior point of IT escalation, partnering and communicating with senior business stakeholders and translating technical issues into non-technical terms.
- Own the IT Infrastructure and enterprise architecture including LAN, WAN, WLAN, cloud, domain services, servers, hosting, security solutions and End User Computing.
- Monitor and manage end-to-end lifecycles of IT Infrastructure including continuous improvement and support with IT Infrastructure implementation projects.
- Own event management and observability across the infrastructure, driving improvements and a proactive approach to service availability.
- Govern change and release management for infrastructure, ensuring risk is assessed and controlled.
- Ensure all risks and vulnerabilities are managed, and ensure technology operates within established control frameworks and regulatory compliance (NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
- Drive a 'security-by-design' approach, ensuring cyber security is at the forefront of everything we do.
- Represent IT Infrastructure and cyber security in the IT Technical Design Authority, actively participating in the forum and review/feedback activities.
- Support with business continuity, including testing DR/BCP plans, validating recovery, and evidenced failover and restore testing where applicable.
- Own and manage key third-party and managed service providers, ensuring operational, financial and contractual performance.
- Work alongside the IT Service Delivery Manager to identify and drive initiates for service improvement in relation to IT Infrastructure
- Ownership of the Infrastructure Opex budget with support from Head of IT Operations.
- Collaborate closely with Group IT, aligning IT Operations strategies, projects and initiatives with Group strategies, projects and initiatives., * Leadership and influence: Confidently sets the agenda, energises others, makes tough decisions and challenges the norm when needed.

Requirements
- 5+ years in infrastructure and/or network management.
- Proven experience managing enterprise IT solutions.
- Expertise in technologies including WAN/LAN/WLAN, Cloud, Identity and Access Management, Servers, hosting/virtualization, and End User Computing including build, deployment and endpoint management.
- Proven experience working to ITIL best practices.
- Proven experience in people leadership, performance and development management.
- Experience and expertise in managing complex IT Infrastructure and enterprise architecture, ideally within a multi-site retail, Hospitality, or FMCG environment.
- Broad expertise in cybersecurity technologies covering traditional, modern and emerging including NGFW, WAF, ZTNA, CASB, SIEM, EDR and XDR.
- Strong understanding of Cybersecurity principles, known control frameworks, and regulatory compliance. Experience in NIST, ISO27001 or CE+ certifications is desirable.
- Experienced in managing third-party suppliers, partners, and business-critical managed service providers, including contract and performance management.
- Experience in managing large operational budgets.
- Strong communication, presentation, business-partnering, and influence skills, with the ability to translate the complex to the simple at all levels.

This role operates on a hybrid basis, with three days spent in the office and two days working from home. You will need to live within a commutable distance of Newport Pagnell.
