Job description

We are seeking a talented and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing visually appealing, user-friendly websites that align with our brand identity and meet client specifications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise a broad range of digital design skills, including UX, UI, and front-end development, ensuring engaging online experiences across multiple platforms. The successful applicant will work closely with developers, content creators, and marketing teams to deliver innovative web solutions that optimise user engagement and functionality., * Develop innovative website layouts and visual concepts using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Figma, and Adobe Illustrator.

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups employing Axure, Balsamiq, InVision, and Visio to facilitate user research and usability testing.
  • Implement responsive web design principles using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, SCSS, Less (style sheet language), and JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Redux, AJAX, and Node.js.
  • Conduct user research to understand target audiences' needs and preferences to inform design decisions.
  • Optimise websites for search engines (SEO) using best practices in content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
  • Maintain existing websites through regular updates, troubleshooting issues related to website maintenance or content management systems.
  • Collaborate with developers on front-end development tasks ensuring seamless integration of design elements with back-end technologies like PHP and MySQL.
  • Analyse website data using Google Analytics and data analysis skills to improve usability and overall performance.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and information architecture best practices for enhanced usability.
  • Participate in usability testing sessions to refine user interfaces based on feedback.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UI?, * Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing website projects demonstrating UX/UI principles.

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development languages such as HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS/Less), JavaScript (including frameworks like React, Angular), AJAX, Node.js, PHP, SQL/MySQL databases.
  • Experience working with content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
  • Knowledge of responsive web design techniques ensuring compatibility across devices and browsers.
  • Familiarity with usability testing methods and information architecture principles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from Google Analytics or similar tools for optimisation purposes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
