Job description

A leading manufacturer within the construction and civil engineering sector is seeking a talented Precast Design Engineer to join their expanding technical team in Fermanagh. Your new role

As a Precast Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of precast concrete solutions. You will work closely with internal engineering, production, and project management teams, as well as external consultants and contractors. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed precast concrete designs, drawings, and schedules
  • Carrying out structural analysis and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, and clients to resolve design queries
  • Supporting manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production
  • Providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to installation
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across design processes and product development

Requirements

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Structural, or a related engineering discipline
  • Experience in precast or reinforced concrete design (industry or placement experience considered)
  • Strong CAD skills; experience with Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar
  • Knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
