Your new role
As a Precast Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of precast concrete solutions. You will work closely with internal engineering, production, and project management teams, as well as external consultants and contractors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing detailed precast concrete designs, drawings, and schedules
- Carrying out structural analysis and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, and clients to resolve design queries
- Supporting manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production
- Providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to installation
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across design processes and product development
Requirements
- A degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Structural, or a related engineering discipline
- Experience in precast or reinforced concrete design (industry or placement experience considered)
- Strong CAD skills; experience with Tekla, AutoCAD, or similar
- Knowledge of Eurocodes and relevant industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
