Requirements

10+ years of experience in digital commerce development and 4+ years of hands-on SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) experience Strong backend/services understanding - Must understand how data moves across systems Experience with: Headless commerce (SCAPI / OCAPI) and API integrations and middleware Strong in React, Node.js, JavaScript Prior Tech Lead experience (leading teams, not just contributing) since this role will be 60% leadership 40% hands on technical

Primary Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10 years of software engineering and digital commerce experience
  • 4 years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC/Demandware) experience
  • Strong experience implementing and supporting SFCC with PWA Kit architecture
  • Experience designing and delivering headless commerce solutions using SCAPI and OCAPI

Advanced knowledge of:

  • React.js
  • Node.js
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • REST APIs
  • Commerce Cloud architecture

Strong understanding of:

  • Checkout and cart functionality
  • Pricing and promotions
  • Customer journeys and digital commerce experiences
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile delivery methodologies
  • Strong production support and troubleshooting experience in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices and API-first architectures
  • Experience integrating payment gateways and third-party commerce platforms
  • Experience supporting large-scale Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations
  • Knowledge of CDN and edge delivery technologies, including Akamai
  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and FullStory
  • Understanding of digital analytics and experimentation tools including Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, and Optimizely
  • Experience analyzing customer behavior, digital commerce data, and personalization strategies
