Job description

Seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in technical support to Command and Control acquisition programs, for our customer in Stafford, VA. Duties include:

  • Develop and/or revise appropriate level acquisition engineering documentation (e.g. Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Information Support Plan (ISP))
  • Develop reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio
  • Conduct technical assessment and evaluation of Prime Contractor deliverables, architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
  • Drawings review and coordination for all ECPs and vendor development programs
  • Validation and readiness assessment of all program documentation required to submit ECPs for approval.
  • Support Engineering Team in development of ECPs and tracking of all ECPs from development to closure.
  • Develop Performance Specifications, Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), and assist with the development of product and component level specifications
  • Support development of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs)
  • Develop Technical Review Action Plans, and participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process
  • Develop ECPs and participate at Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
  • Manage development and assist with the development of test strategies, procedures, and plans
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of test events and operational evaluations
  • Support systems safety efforts and develop the Programmatic Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and any other required documentation to support the appropriate safety releases
  • Provide input to support cybersecurity efforts, monitor IA vulnerability alerts, and ensure appropriate security actions are taken
  • Participate in technical and management IPTs

Requirements

Do you have experience in Visio?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's in Systems Engineering or other technical/scientific discipline, and 10+ years of experience or equivalent deep expertise in the domain

  • USMC or other DoD systems maintenance or operational experience with Air and/or Ground Combat operations systems desired.
  • Experience with SETRs and documentation is required
  • Experience in developing acquisition documentation to support programs in achieving required milestones/events is required
  • Ability to effectively work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government players is required
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of engineers is required.
  • Network Design or Network certifications a plus (CompTIA Network+, CCNA, CCNP)
  • DAWIA Engineering & Technical Management Practitioner certification or equivalent training in the Systems Engineering field (e.g. INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional) is strongly desired
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office and Visio skills are required

Benefits & conditions

Salary range: $120,000.00-$140,000.00
