Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, English, or related field or equivalent experience 3 5 years of experience in web content publishing, digital content, or CMS-driven environments Experience working within a CMS (e.g., WordPress or similar) using structured templates and components Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, user-focused content Experience applying accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1 AA / 2.2 AA) in content creation Familiarity with SEO fundamentals, including metadata, headings, and internal linking Familiarity with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and/or AIO (AI Optimization) as it relates to improving visibility within AI search engines, Large Language Model (LLM) training datasets, and AI-powered conversational answer engines. Ability to follow and apply established content standards, taxonomy, and governance models Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including UX, Marketing, and IT teams, in a structured delivery environment Basic experience with HTML and CSS Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume content updates across multiple sites Experience working with tools such as Figma and Slickplan to interpret page structures, workflows, and content organization Experience working in higher education or similarly complex, decentralized organizations preferred
