We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Web Designer / IT Support professional to join our innovative team! This paid position offers a chance to grow your skills across a broad spectrum of digital design and IT support functions., * Design and develop visually compelling websites using web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and frameworks like Bootstrap, Angular, React, and Node.js.

  • Create engaging user interfaces (UI) and enhance user experience (UX) through wireframing, layout design, typography, and interaction design using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, Balsamiq, and InVision.
  • Implement responsive web design principles to ensure optimal viewing experiences across all devices.
  • Optimize websites for search engines (SEO) by applying best practices in content structure and web accessibility standards.
  • Maintain and update existing websites built on content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, SharePoint, or custom solutions.
  • Conduct usability testing and user research to improve website functionality and accessibility for diverse audiences.
  • Support internal IT infrastructure by troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing website hosting environments, and performing routine website maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize analytics tools like Google Analytics 360, Adobe Analytics, and web analytics platforms to analyze user data and inform design improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing for digital marketing campaigns such as email marketing via Mailchimp or similar platforms.
  • Manage version control using Git or other repositories to ensure smooth collaboration among developers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing website projects emphasizing interaction design, motion graphics, visual design, and layout composition.
  • Extensive knowledge of front-end development including HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/SASS), JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React), PHP, MySQL databases, and server-side scripting.
  • Proficiency with graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite (including Adobe After Effects for motion graphics), Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability principles to create inclusive digital experiences.
  • Experience working with content management systems like WordPress or Drupal; knowledge of website maintenance best practices is essential.
  • Strong data analysis skills using tools like Google Analytics 360 or Adobe Analytics to interpret user behavior and optimize site performance.
  • Ability to perform user research and develop information architecture that aligns with business goals.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git; experience with responsive web design frameworks like Bootstrap or Telerik is highly desirable.
  • Technical support experience including troubleshooting hardware/software issues within an IT environment; familiarity with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools is a plus.
