Job description
- Review customer specifications and align product capabilities to application requirements
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD tools
- Create and maintain bills of materials and design documentation
- Analyze technical requirements to produce manufacturable, practical designs
- Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality teams on design solutions
- Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and corrective actions
- Provide technical support to the production floor and assist with system commissioning
- Interpret and apply relevant regulatory codes and standards (UL, NEC, NFPA)
Requirements
- Associate degree in mechanical design, electrical design, engineering technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical or application engineering within a manufacturing-related environment
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or similar CAD platforms)
- Experience creating drawings, layouts, and bills of materials
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, material handling, or similar systems preferred
- Understanding of mobile electrification systems or comparable technologies is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams
