Job description

The Senior Systems Engineer has a deep expertise in automation and hybrid cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform across a complex environment of 3,000+ servers spanning on-premises and cloud platforms. If you're ready to make a real impact and work on projects that matter, we want to hear from you., Design, implement, and manage automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform in a hybrid cloud environment

Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and workflows to automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and deployment processes

Manage and support infrastructure across 3,000+ servers (Linux/Windows) in both on-premises data centers and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Git, Jenkins)

Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of automation systems

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and automation workflows

Enforce security best practices, compliance standards, and configuration consistency across all systems

Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, Security, and Application teams to streamline operations

Document automation processes, system configurations, and operational procedures

Mentor junior engineers and promote automation best practices across the organization

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation

Hands-on experience implementing and managing Ansible Automation Platform at scale (1,000+ servers; 3,000+ preferred)

Strong experience with Linux systems administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu); Windows experience is a plus

Experience working in hybrid cloud environments (on-prem + AWS/Azure/GCP)

Proficiency with infrastructure as code and configuration management principles

Experience with version control systems (Git)

Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RedHat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)

Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker)

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.)

Experience with ITSM integrations (e.g., ServiceNow)

Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Ansible Automation certification

Experience with security hardening and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc.)

Experience with federal contracting
