Job description
As an AI Engineer, you'll design and implement AI-powered solutions for clients, working at the intersection of data engineering and machine learning. You'll translate business challenges into AI solutions, build robust data pipelines that feed AI models, and collaborate with clients to unlock value from their data using AI and LLMs. This is a hybrid role that combines data engineering expertise with AI innovation.
What you'll do
- Design AI/ML solutions tailored to client business problems
- Develop and optimise data pipelines that support AI and ML models
- Build applications using large language models (LLMs) and emerging AI technologies
- Write Python code for model development, data preprocessing, and deployment
- Work directly with clients to understand their AI needs and deliver solutions
- Stay current with AI advancements (LLMs, generative AI, prompt engineering, etc.)
- Apply data engineering best practices to ensure robust, scalable AI solutions
- Support the full project lifecycle from discovery through deployment and monitoring
Requirements
Must have:
- 2-5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Machine Learning, AI, or a similar role
- Strong Python programming skills - you build production-quality code
- Solid SQL and data management skills
- Hands-on experience with at least one of: Snowflake, Databricks, Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, or GCP AI/ML tools
- Working knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
- Exposure to LLMs or generative AI (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, etc.)
- Experience building data pipelines or ETL solutions
Strengthens your application:
- Background in a consulting firm or client-facing data/AI projects
- Experience deploying ML models to production
- Work with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Data science or analytics background
- Familiarity with MLOps, model monitoring, or data governance
We're also looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about AI and staying ahead of emerging technologies
- A problem solver who thinks about real business use cases, not just algorithms
- Collaborative - you work well with data engineers, business analysts, and clients
- Curious and driven - you're constantly learning and experimenting
- Pragmatic - you balance innovation with delivering working solutions
- Comfortable with 3 days onsite in Dublin
Benefits & conditions
- Work on cutting-edge AI and LLM projects - this is where innovation is happening
- Multiple clients and industries - build diverse AI solutions, not just one product
- Partner with Ireland's fastest-growing data and AI consultancy
- Snowflake Elite Partner with access to the latest tools and technologies
- Flat, collaborative structure with peers excited about AI
- Clear career path as AI/ML talent is in high demand
- Learn from experienced consultants and deliver real business impact
About the company
