Job description

Le'Fant is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom software and database applications for both legacy and modernized systems. You will work collaboratively on a product team, contributing to all phases of the software development life cycle, including planning, coding, testing, release, and retrospectives. This role requires hands-on experience with Java or C# (.NET Core), Spring MVC/Boot, Angular or React, relational databases (PostgreSQL, Hibernate, Entity Framework), and full-stack system design and integration. You will also support code quality practices, mentor junior team members, and provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems.

While candidates near Ashburn, VA, who can report onsite at least once per week are preferred, we welcome applicants from anywhere in the U.S. for remote work, subject to customer approval.

Responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing custom software and database application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight
  • Acting as a member of a product team supporting teammates and collaborating with a do what it takes attitude to ensure product and team success
  • Providing improvements to the product(s) being supported
  • Actively participate in release and sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases
  • Supporting release planning with conceptual design and development / refinement of software engineering guidelines
  • Analyzing complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components
  • Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports
  • Providing mentoring to junior members of the team

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • All work must be performed within the United States.
  • Must have the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:
  • 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
  • 1-year check for illegal drug use
  • 3-year check for felony convictions
  • College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Professional Experience: at least seven (7) years related technical experience, with software design, development and implementation in a Windows Environment, * Demonstrated professional experience with our tech stack: Java / C# (.NET Core), Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular / React.
  • Experience creating reusable libraries, developing interactive and responsive interfaces, implementing complex solutions, encouraging quality code through conducting reviews/leading tests, and applying beautiful visualizations to solutions
  • Ability to implement new features by transforming mockups into fully functional user interfaces integrated with API enabled microservice built on Spring-boot/Java or C# (.NET Core) based backend
  • You can provide detailed examples of instances where you have bridged the gap between user interface design and technical implementation
  • Genuine passion for user experience and user-centric development
  • Persistence- continuously research new and best coding practices
  • Adept at optimizing application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Exceptional communication skills that include leading design-related conversations, ability to build and nurture good relationships and foster an environment for collaboration
  • Experience with source code control systems and concurrent development workflows (Git preferred)
  • Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Technical Certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, OCP Java, etc.
  • DevOps experience /CI/CD pipeline.
  • Ability to support and enhance applications built on a Spring Boot or .NET Core technical stack

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 to $126,000
