Job description
- Own the visual development of slot games from early concepts and moodboards through final production assets.
- Create high-quality symbols, characters, backgrounds, logos, UI elements, feature artwork, and promotional key art.
- Produce visually compelling, casino-grade assets optimized for mobile and web performance.
- Create highly readable symbols with strong silhouette, contrast, hierarchy, and visual clarity.
- Animate game assets using Spine 2D and Adobe After Effects, delivering implementation-ready animations.
- Prepare layered PSDs, sprite sheets, atlases, exports, and animation-ready assets following studio standards.
- Collaborate closely with Game Design, Mathematics, Development, Audio, Producers, and Technical Artists.
- Ensure assets meet technical specifications, memory budgets, optimization targets, and implementation requirements.
- Contribute to visual direction, style consistency, and continuous quality improvements.
- Support production planning by estimating work accurately and delivering assets on schedule.

IGT PlayDigital is looking for a Senior Game Artist (Generalist) with proven experience in the iGaming industry. We are looking for a versatile artist who combines outstanding artistic ability with a strong understanding of game production, animation, technical asset preparation, and real-money casino game development.
As a key member of the PlayDigital Art team, you will create high-quality production assets-from concept exploration and illustration to animation and implementation-ready content-that directly contribute to successful live products across desktop and mobile platforms., * Extensive experience creating art for released real-money slot games.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating casino-quality illustration, UI, symbols, characters, and environments.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Professional experience with Spine 2D animation.
- Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of game art pipelines, optimization, asset organization, and production workflows.
- Experience preparing implementation-ready assets for game engines.
- Excellent understanding of casino realism including metals, gems, gold, glass, lighting, and VFX.
- Ability to balance creativity, readability, technical constraints, and production efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
What We'd Prefer
- Experience with Unity and game asset implementation.
- Experience with Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max for blockouts, lighting, and reference renders.
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate concept exploration and ideation (not as a replacement for final production art).
- Understanding of VFX pipelines and animation principles.
- Knowledge of texture optimization, sprite atlases, compression, and performance optimization.
- Experience mentoring artists and contributing to art direction and visual quality standards.
