Job description
We are seeking a Senior/Principal Java Developer to help design, enhance, and modernize mission-critical brokerage and tax processing systems. You will collaborate closely with architecture, product, and business partners to build reliable, scalable solutions that support complex financial platforms. These systems operate in high throughput, low-latency environments and must remain resilient during periods of market volatility. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to engineering excellence and operational stability.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field

7+ years of software engineering experience

4+ years building RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Boot

2+ years of hands on AWS cloud native development

Experience with AWS services including Lambda, EC2, AWS Batch, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and Aurora Postgres

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins

Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes

Experience with Kafka and resilient messaging platforms

Strong SQL and relational database experience

Experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Jest)

Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills * Experience building systems that scale under high TPS and volatile traffic patterns (25k+)

Experience modernizing legacy systems to cloud native platforms

Experience designing highly resilient, fault tolerant distributed systems

Industry experience in financial services or other high transaction, data intensive environments
Benefits & conditions
Compensation: $70 - 85/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
