Job description

  • Manage commissioning teams and project execution
  • Oversee schedules, budgets, testing, and client deliverables
  • Coordinate commissioning processes from startup through turnover
  • Data center commissioning experience required
  • Weekly travel required, Company is seeking an experienced Data Center Commissioning Manager to oversee commissioning activities for mission-critical data center projects. This role is responsible for managing the commissioning process from planning through turnover, ensuring all systems are tested, validated, documented, and operating as designed., * Lead all phases of the commissioning process for data center projects (Levels 1-5)
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and testing procedures
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients
  • Oversee testing of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire/life safety, controls, and integrated building systems
  • Manage Factory Witness Testing (FWT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
  • Review commissioning reports, documentation, and turnover packages
  • Track project risks, deficiencies, and corrective actions through completion
  • Support client training, system handover, and operational readiness activities
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to commissioning team members
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements, * Initial assignment is in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and requires daily onsite attendance
  • Weekly travel to data center project sites nationwide is required
  • Work may be performed in active construction and industrial environments
  • Extended hours may be required during critical project phases

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • 7+ years of data center commissioning or mission-critical facility experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with integrated systems testing and phased commissioning
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills
  • Willingness to travel weekly to project sites as assigned, * CCP, CxA, PMP, CPMP, LEED AP, or similar certification
  • Experience with hyperscale or colocation data centers
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, and Uptime Institute standards
  • Strong reporting and documentation experience
