Job description

Independently designs, plans, organizes, documents or supervises scientific experiments or activities. Main activities

o Plans, organizes, performs and documents scientific experiments / DQP/ GMP testing/ plant activities.

o Provides documentation of raw data, evaluates, and interprets results obtained for advanced but established methods or procedures.

o Reviews and approves raw data generated by others.

o Operates within clear well-defined procedures with some latitude for decision making on expected issues.

o Works according to appropriate standards defined for quality, ethics, health, safety, environment, and information security.

o Ensures compliance to DQP / GMP.

o Writes protocols, reports or lab procedures based on templates under moderate supervision. Writes documents intended for external partners (e.g., other line units, authorities, companies) and supports generation of registration documents.

o Contributes to development of new methods/procedures or optimization of existing methods/procedures.

o Contributes to maintenance of equipment/infrastructure.

o Recognizes and proactively communicates and provides input to the solutions of complex problems (e.g. unexpected results from experiments or deviations); addresses and solves problems within own area of responsibility.

o Provides basic understanding and meeting of customers needs.

o Actively participates in knowledge exchange and trains new/less experienced analysts/ employees under training/education.

o Independently investigates laboratory related quality events and manages quality changes

Additional specific roles/tasks

  • supports the implementation of LC-MS and liquid-handler automation in GMP routine laboratory workflow
  • short term planning of the Analytical Operations Austria - Physical-chemistry laboratory tasks

Requirements

Technician with analytical/ laboratory relevant experience and/or degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology etc.)

Languages:

  • Intermediate-fluent knowledge of English
  • Intermediate knowledge of German

Experience/Professional requirement:

  • Adequate scientific or technical knowledge in a pharmaceutical area, especially with analytical methods with GMP background.
  • Good knowledge/skills of laboratory and/or technical tools.
  • Adequate knowledge of software and computerized tools/systems.
  • Awareness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment.
  • Basic-good skills in scientific/technical areas of collaboration.
  • Basic-good presentation skills.
  • Can-do attitude, make-it-happen mindset, transparent communication, critical thinking

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is €59,781.96/year (on a full-time basis).

We also offer a potential market oriented excess payment in line with your experience and qualifications.
