In this role, you will help shape the future of our web architecture, moving beyond simple interfaces to build complex, modular systems. You will work in an agile, cross-functional team of engineers and product managers to create high-performance applications that serve as the primary interface between ZEOS and the global market. At ZEOS, seniority means more than just writing code; it means taking ownership of the entire lifecycle, mentoring peers, and ensuring our frontend landscape is scalable, secure, and user-centric., * Build & Scale: Design and develop high-quality, responsive web applications using React and TypeScript, ensuring they meet the needs of ZEOS partners and internal teams.
- Master the Architecture: Contribute to the evolution of our Micro Frontend (MFE) and SPA landscape, focusing on modularity, performance, and seamless integration.
- Own the Lifecycle: Champion the "You Write It, You Run It" philosophy by owning the full development cycle-from initial architectural design and API contract discussions to testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and leverage AWS/Kubernetes environments to ensure our applications are resilient and highly available.
- Collaborate & Mentor: Actively participate in code reviews and pair programming, fostering a culture of high code quality and knowledge sharing within your team.
- Bridge Design & Tech: Work closely with designers and product managers to implement our Design System (DS), ensuring UI/UX consistency and technical feasibility across the portal ecosystem.
Requirements
- Frontend Expert: You are highly proficient in TypeScript and React, with deep knowledge of modern build tools like Webpack and the Node.js ecosystem. Check our Tech Radar for more information on the technologies we use at Zalando.
- Architectural Mindset: You have practical experience with Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures and understand how to manage state and routing in complex, distributed frontend environments.
- Security & Auth Savvy: You have a solid understanding of web security and experience implementing modern authentication flows, specifically Okta or OpenID Connect.
- Cloud & DevOps Familiarity: You are comfortable working with AWS and Kubernetes and believe that automated testing and CI/CD are non-negotiable parts of the development process.
- Agile Professional: You thrive in agile settings, taking a proactive role in sprint ceremonies, refining requirements, and navigating technical uncertainty with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong Communicator: You possess excellent English skills and the ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuous Learner: You stay up-to-date with current trends in web services and software design, always looking for ways to improve our tech stack and developer experience.
